Hexa solution pays for itself in the first year by reducing hours and mistakes
The Hartford Civic Center of Hartford, Connecticut, hosts hundreds of events every year, from sports to concerts to corporate gatherings. It uses its Web site to sell the venue and streamline service to guests.

Hartford Civic Center is getting the most obvious return on investment from a Web application used by its food and beverage department .
In the course of catering appetizers, snacks, meals, desserts and beverages to 40 skyboxes, the catering staff had lots of room for error and confusion. Faxing menus to attendees was a nightmare. As items ran out they would have to fax again, explaining how the menu changed. Customers would make mistakes, ordering 12 dozen items when all they wanted was 12.
It was very time consuming and wasteful.
Now, using Hexa's simple, Web-based ordering system, guests log in their suite and event information to see the menu available for that night. The screen notifies visitors of changes, and makes sure they fill it out correctly complete their order.
The system tallies all the items and sends the order to the kitchen.
Managers love doing it this way because they don't have to tally sheets of paper and decode cryptic notes.
In the end, the food service manager visits customers and builds relationships instead of fighting fires.
Little things are big with us
Hexa pays attention to details that improve functionality. For example, Web visitors can view the Hartford Civic Center calendar of events as a list (which organizes events by parameters the visitor chooses, such as concerts or basketball games), or in a familiar calendar format (which shows Fridays and Saturdays more clearly than a list does.)
Clicking on an event brings up all the important information a visitor could want -- times, prices, event descriptions and much more. Links to Ticketmaster make purchases easy.
And Hexa's solution not only presents a seating chart that displays where seats are, but also shows - and this is so cool - what the view is like from that part of the arena.
